In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway.
Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock Some of the king's wealthiest merchan! ts and courtiers came by and simply walked around it.

Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.

After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been.

The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.

The peasant learned what many of us never understand!

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

it was 5 good vacation days last week from wed-sun.

it was fun having time with my parents and sisters as always... also with bonz and zoie

having a 3 day working rest plus the weekend! i would be better if we when to a beach, but staying at home is also good.

my little princess is really growing up fast, like i want every minute with her.

seeing her smile... it makes me so happy.

but i admit im not a perfect daddy and husband, im working on it... Love you both

and Training starts this week, Good luck on me :)

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them.

She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.
"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.
"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"
"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"
"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife.
"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"
The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"

This one took five years to build, cost nearly 1billion and the annual maintenance bill will be 2million. The Guinness Book of Records named the vast pool beside the sea in Chile as the biggest in the world.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returnedwith a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic,glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - tellingthem to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: Ifyou noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leavingbehind the plain and cheap ones. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart, and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

THE CORRECT WAY OF EATING FRUITS

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it,and just popping it into our mouths. It's not so easy as you think. It's important to know how, and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?
IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS!
FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss, and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a sliceof fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

ICE campaign - "In Case of Emergency"

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this “ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.

The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" (In Case Of Emergency).

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation.

Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE".

NBA Finals was Sea of Green

There are no new records to be written.
The BIG THREE ( Allen, KG, Pierce) was to big to chop down.

The Lakers that i expected to play hard and with energy was not there.
Their big men ( Gasol & Odom ) was hardly felt down on the post.
Kobe was hardly a factor on the 2nd half of the game. He should have drive hard
to the basket when they are already down. It's impossible not foul will be called But,
Boston having played a superb game offensively and defensively
Ray Allen guns blazing shooting 7 triples tied most 3 shot made on a finals game.
KG was dominant on the post and the perimeter and
Paul Pierced named finals mvp for a steady performance on the series

Well hands up to Boston for a season. Having acquired Ray Allen & Kevin Garnett
from the off season to give Paul Pierce some fire power, and he definitely got some!

They have been in the NBA for quite some time now, and superstars on their on right.
I guess it time to give them one.

Test of Resiliency

Los Angeles Lakers did what they need to do, Stay afloat on this series, protect their home court and not let the Boston celtics celebrate on their house.

Now the true test of heart and resiliency of the Lakers will be tested. Going to Boston for game 6 & 7 if necessary.

Here are my pointers for for Game 6

Lakers

Kobe should take charge lead the attack
Pau Gasol and Lamar should be felt
Shooters needs to be on target
Bench support on starters offensively and defensively

Lakers are bringing the big tree ( BIG THREE hmm ) down one chop at a time. Who knows they will be writing a new record, a team that wins championship from a 3-1 deficit

A 28-year-old graduate F. Joseph Pompei student who is part scientist and part showman, Mr. Pompei has invented a device that projects a discrete beam of sound in much the same way a spotlight projects a beam of light.

The audio spotlight as Mr. Pompei has dubbed it emits a column of sound enveloped by silence, the way the glow of a spotlight is enveloped by darkness. Someone standing inside the beam emitted from his flat black disk hears the sound loud and clear. Outside the beam one hears silence or, if there are surfaces nearby, faint murmurs from the reflected sound waves. The beams can also bounce off walls to create an impression of the source of the sound.

Daimler-Chrysler has already tried the technology in a prototype truck, so that each passenger can listen to his or her favorite music without the annoyance (and, for the driver, danger) of headphones.

Likewise, imagine sitting at home next to a family member, who's watching some show you detest — but you don't care because you're outside the beam of sound and can't hear it.

Having fun time is really great specially with your friends but there is always boundaries on drinking.

Our Company provide us some tickets for this theme park. And i was planning to really have a great time on going there with my lovely wife unfortunately we couldn't bring our daughter with us. sniff :( We were able to have a fun time there together with my officemates.

I had a great weekend. I hope you guys also did.

Anyways nothing much happened over the weekend. i just felt that my wife and I bonded together, we got some groceries ( majority of it for zoie) :) and bought some parts to our PC.

I got to watched Laker game while my wife was checking the software she bought.

Come Monday, it's a holiday. Holiday = No Work

I just sit back and enjoy the day. More Daddy work with zoie, when im with zoie it is more of a
' PLAY TIME SHOW TIME' i can goof around with her and make funny antics which she really enjoys.

I got a couple days rest which i need. And be back on the Path of Life again

a learning experience

The important thing is always to learn. It doesn't matter what you're reading, what you're doing, as long as you're learning. Life is made up of stories, so always make sure to take stock of everything around you, and anything interesting that happens. It may someday make for a good story. But if it doesn't, it was still a learning experiance. So go out, learn, live, and make a story worth telling.

as we live on this world, we should matured and act as grown up that we may also impart something to others.

It is SNORKELING!!!

I am one of those who wants get into the water and watch those colorful fishes
and the magnificent corals. It amazes me that just a couple of meters away
from the shore you'll be on a different world, which is full of vivid colors and
extraordinary shapes and sizes of corals.

Before you plan your next beach outing and go plunge in to the waters, would you know the guidelines of snorkeling?

* ALWAYS snorkel with a buddy. In the event that you become tired, your buddy can assist you back to shore.

* Do not hold your breath for long dives underwater. Extended breath holding can cause blackouts that can lead to drowning.

* Do not dive deeper than the maximum depth in which you can equalize the pressure in your ears.

* For a greater snorkeling experience, we encourage you to receive instruction from a qualified diving instructor.

* NEVER dive head first into the water, as the lens is not designed to withstand this kind of impact.

* Snorkeling with your head at a 45-degree angle helps to eliminate water entering into the top of your snorkel by keeping a properly mounted snorkel safely above the waterline.

* Always exit the water when you are cold or tired.

* Do not dive below the water surface if you have a head cold. Congestion makes equalizing your ears very difficult.

* Do not use snorkeling equipment as a tool to learn how to swim. Snorkeling is designed for those who can maintain a basic level of swimming.

* If you are snorkeling off a boat, always fly a diver’s flag or something similar to notify area boaters of someone in the water.

* Never wear earplugs underwater. The pressure can drive the plugs into your eardrums and cause injury.

Low Wages affect IT sector

More and more people which are skilled tend to work abroad to have a high paying job.
Different industries including IT sector are being affected with the huge wage gap.

Separate studies was done earlier this year shows the continuous migration abroad.
It sounded an alarm on companies in business process outsourcing (BPO) and those
that require skilled IT professional. They are discontented on Manila's low wage rate.

According to a survey by UBS AG a global financial services giant, it shows that manila
receive the world's third cheapest wage.

Based on the survey, Jakarta and Mumbai get wages that are lower than those receive
by manila workers.

as for my opinion, provide a high wage and will be giving our best quality at work.

It's been a while since i watched a movie. Here is one movie would definitely recommend wathcing.

IRONMAN damn it is very very nice. All the action and a mixed of comedy was blended nice.

Not to mention all the coll cars of Tony Stark.

First of all i want to great all the wonderful moms out there.

For the love that they give to their children.

For the warm hugs and kisses they give to their family.

For the never ending love and support for their husband.

Being a mom as observed is hard and fulfilling.

All those sleepless night in taking care of the baby and house work (cleaning, arranging etc)

a 24X7 work, If we can give our moms a day of break from her routine in the house or may be a day or two. Like i did for my wife, days before i already made a simple.

We watched a movie IRONMAN, it was great! She really enjoyed her day and thanking me on our way home. Mission accomplish!

we don't have to be too extravagant (unless we can afford it) just a simple things will do great wonders for all moms.

Scientists: Warming may greatest threat to tropical species

WASHINGTON - While global warming is expected to be strongest at the poles, it may be an even greater threat to species living in the tropics, scientists say.

Tropical species are accustomed to living in a small temperature range and thus may be unable to cope with changes of even a few degrees, according to an analysis in Tuesday's edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

"There's a strong relationship between your physiology and the climate you live in. In the tropics many species appear to be living at or near their thermal optimum, a temperature that lets them thrive. But once temperature gets above the thermal optimum, fitness levels most likely decline quickly and there may not be much they can do about it," Joshua J. Tewksbury said in a statement.

The research was led by Tewksbury, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Washington and Curtis A. Deutsch, an assistant professor of atmospheric and oceanic sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Concern over global warming has largely focused on arctic species like the polar bear. But such animals may be accustomed to living in a wide range of temperatures, while there tends to be little change in the tropics, so there has been no need for species there to adapt.

"The direct effects of climate change on the organisms we studied appear to depend a lot more on the organisms' flexibility than on the amount of warming predicted for where they live," Tewksbury said. "The tropical species in our data were mostly thermal specialists, meaning that their current climate is nearly ideal and any temperature increases will spell trouble for them."

i just got off chatting with my college classmate

and it really gives you the feeling that it has been years since i was in school.

i still remember all the crazy things that we did in college.

all those sleep overs and overnight project with chips and booze on the table,

non-stop clubbing and drinking till the sun rises on the next day.

It's not the crazy antics that i miss, it's the conversations and group forums

feeling the hot summer day...

and be stuck on traffic...

feeling tired on the piled up office work...

or we may be just feeling

there will be always be feelings like this for each and everyone,

we need to have a good and relaxing day away from work, the hassle and bustle of the metropolis.

everyone needs a time out. we may get burned up with all those office work. no timing need to get a relaxing

vacation. you just need a place where you can be your self and where you can sit down and think of all the

wonderful blessing that you have. as for my relaxation is when i see the two most important persons in my life

my loving wife and my little 'bkoy' zoie especially when my baby smiles and a warm hug from my wife... it

automatically changes my tired feeling from office to a renewed and refreshed feeling where i can stay awake for

24 hours. there will be someone or something that rejuvenates you to start a new day.
